This article by Keren Blankfeld threw me back in time to a place I never thought I would feel so invested in two stranger’s lives. Someone needs to direct a movie starring Anthony Hopkins as Mr. Wisnia and Julie Andrews as Ms. Spitzer. The end is the happiest, saddest part.
“She said to me in front of my grandchildren, she said, ‘Did you tell your wife what we did?’” Mr. Wisnia remembered, chuckling, shaking his head. “I said, ‘Zippi!’”
